Project Brief
For my advanced web design course, I was tasked to redesign a nonprofit website. I selected the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, a refuge I grew up near, as a way to give back to a community and cause I deeply care about. This project allowed me to apply my design expertise to create a more engaging and effective digital presence for the organization.

About CWWC
The Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center is one of the few U.S. sanctuaries certified by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). It educates the public on the vital role wolves, coyotes, and foxes play in maintaining ecosystems, while emphasizing the preservation of forests, land, and water for future generations. The center also provides natural habitats and exceptional care for animals unable to live in the wild, offering them dignified lives and inspiring visitors to value conservation.
Old Website
Analysis Summary
CWWC’s current website is an outdated design that lacks modern responsiveness standards which can significantly impair the overall user experience, especially for those trying to use the website via smartphone, by making it difficult for visitors to navigate and engage. The cluttered navigation bar, in combination with pages cluttered with an overabundance of information and unintuitive calls-to-action creates confusion and frustration among it’s users which could potentially lead to disengagement from its users and parties that are interested in their cause. These issues collectively detract from the overall usability and effectiveness of the website.
